Semana 32--So Nothing Happened this Week

Yoooo hey.

This week feels like it didnt even happen.

Because practically all of it has been spent in the captial to talk to doctors and do immigration stuff
But hey the good news is i feel TONS better!

So like last week (tuesday morning) we left for the captial at 5:00 in the morning, and appariently gwagwas (busses) dont leave until like 7 in enriquillo.  So like we said a prayer and prayed for a gwagwa to come.  We went out in the street and elder diamond felt like we should go to a different street so we went... and BAM gwa gwa.  Miracle.  Freaking awesome.  It was like clutch cindy sent us a gwa gwa from orem.  Anyways what happened is that we went to the captial, got some burger king, and yeah.  We had like a family dinner with president and hermana santos so that was fantastic.  President was in the office, i was on the couch reading, my comp playing piano, and hermana santos was cooking, and wow i just felt like i was at home haha.  Anyways yeah we then went home for half of a day, went to a zone conference the next and stayed 2 nights in baraona cuz i did a baptismal interview, and yeah.  now were here again in the captial and we practicaly did nothing this week wow as im writing it out im realizing how boring this week was haha.  Oh dear.

But yeah anyways we didnt have water for 5 days again in the house but it came back so we good

Anyways, the work still progresses!!  We have 2 really good families that were working with, 1 family is a partial family and we think they will get baptised (the mom and 2 daughters) this transfer.  The dad is a less active, but was VERY strong back in the day.  he cant get to church right now because of a physical disability, but we have re lit this fire and desire in him again, and his family came to church this last sunday.  We are soooo excited for them :)

But anyways just as a little message....  Coming into 8ish months in april, i am thinking about the mission as a preparatory stage of my life.  Its really a time where someone can change, and BECOME something new.  My comp and i had a very good talk about that.  We are literally becoming something here.  We are becoming men of god, and trying to fufill his plan for us.  In the mission i have really learned the importance of setting goals, and becoming something.  This life is a preparatory state for something much better to come.  But, while we are here, we are supposed to have joy!  And joy comes from: obedience! (keeping the commandments).  God has promised us with his spirit, and temporal blessings as well.  I promis that as we are obedient to him, we can become something new.  This is the true church, that has given my life purpose.

have a great week everyone!

Elder Murphy
