Semana 29--We were Friendly Robbed Several Times

hey so what a week!  Wow!  

To start off we have been friendly robbed this week like 823423 times haha.  No clue why... But we had like legit 10 people kinda like roughly ask us for money, and when we said we didnt have any, they all responded "Okay god bless you" and smiled.  So like..? thats just the life :)

Anyway, this week has been great cuz... WE GOT LIGHT AND WATERRRRR!  oh man.  Such a blessing to have.  like wow not having it for an amount of time really opened my eyes at how hard that is, and how ones circumstances really prohibit them.  We are a very blessed people in the united states.  

So this week elder diamond and i have started to walk along the beach picking up little sea gems, which are pretty much broken glass that has been smoothed by the water, and theyre all a bunch of colors.  i have quite the collection now and i have to say, it is my motivator to be up on time cuz i love doing it :)

So we are very blessed here in enriqillo to be working with some of the most humble people i know.  And we have been working with this family, and they have plans to get married, get baptised as a family, and go to the temple.  And wow.  That feeling just hit me so hard.  I know how much i love and care for my own family and it was just a very strong feeling of appreciation and love for the lord and what he did for us so that we can be part of this eternal happiness.  Very cool.

Anyways to close up, I'd like to talk a little bit about goal setting

Being a cross country runner, this was always a thing i loved to do!  You literally chase a time all season, trying to get faster, and faster, and faster...

But really on my mission i have discovered a very great way to set goals, and have seen sooo much progress not only in myself, but in the lives of these people.

So what is a goal?  well, thats just the question. One has to make a goal!  Whatever it is, a sport, an attribute, a hobby, you choose it, but make sure you know what it is that you want. Or rather, the end in mind!

Next, you have to know and give yourself a why.  Why is it important?  Give yourself motivations, reasons, and blessings that come from this goal, a goal without reason hardly seems reasonable to me.

And finally a "how" how do we do it? what is this goal specifically, and how can i achieve it? give the specifics in this step, and make them known to yourself, and to others.

With these three steps, "que, por que, y como" we can become so much more than what we give ourselves credit for.  it IS that simple.  I testify that heavenly father wants that for us, thats why he sent us here, to become more like him with the hope of one day, becoming celestial beings.  This has helped me become "so much more than i thought" and has helped so many of these people who i care for so much change their lives and come unto christ.  I challenge you all to go out and do the same.  Have a great week everyone! go set some goals!
