Semana 27--Water and Light Fast, Tear Gas, and a Sunday Ill Never Forget

WHATS UP WOW WHAT A CRAZY WEEK

Geez i cant even get started, lets just go with the light and water situation first!

So like, theres no water, nor light, in our house.

Haha.

We've been on a "water and light fast" thes last days aka somehow or someway the water and light stopped working.  So we have been buying water and buying food a lot, and its really taken a lot of the personal time out of the day, so all the personal lunch and a good chunk of study time is now taken with time to buy water, clean what we can, find a place to shower because theres no running water, and pretty much basic needs of life.  Not gonna lie its a little frusturating at times, but man has the lord prepared me for this.  My last transfer really helped me grow my faith in him and the hope that he knows exactly what i need!  So honestly it doesnt even worry me about when water and light are coming back cuz like this will be over soon, haha like im suprised at how much this is just kinda flying over my shoulder, and right now we're just kinda hangin in here and workin and havin fun!  but yeah like i couldnt bathe for like 5 days but like aye when youre on the lords errands baths are for sissies 

The second thing is theres been tons of riots because of... These light and water problems!!  So the people decided in their anger to burn tires and cut down trees and stuff, there were actually some missionaries living in the main street of a town and there was tear gas that entered into their house from the police trying to get these riots to stop.  So thats been a little nuts, but thankfully they've stayed fairly far away from us here in good old enriquillo.  

Now the cool thing we are going to have (between the 2 companions) 11 BAPTISMS WOOO (5 of them are our baptisms, the other 6 are the other companionships).  We are sooo excited for these people and the opportunity they are getting and the covenant they are making.  We are going to have it in the ocean this saturday (we were going to do 3 of the 5 the last saturday but we just decided to put them all to into one baptism to save money haha we dont got lots of that here) The mission president is coming to watch it, and we honestly are just going to have the coolest experience ever.  So excited, i'll send some awesome pics this next week for sure.

oh also I COMPLETED 6 MONTHS WOOOOOO HOOOO.  Seems like that went so freaking fast but also like So freaking slow at the same time haha.  It was quite the first 6 months, but hey like here comes the next 6 and im sure it just gets better!  Pumped for that.

Anyways I have been trying to work a lot on the christlike attribute of patience cuz im not very good at that one.  I have been thinking a lot about it and i get impatient with others because i am too into myself and my needs and my wants.  But really that will not help me or anyone.  SO every time I have a negative thought, I throw it out and replace it.  It has really helped me to look over my problems, feel more at peace, and love my mission, the people, and what we do as missionaries.  So, go out and well.. Be patient? haha.  What a good missionary i am with this invitation.  But let the lord take care of it, do what you can and love life everyone!
