Semana 26--Getting Back into the Swing of Things

Hey everyone i hope everything is well!!

Im doing great here in this area of enriquillo, it is so so freaking beautiful here and i love it.  Baraona is the greatest place in the DR, Puerto plato doesnt even compare!  We had some really awesome and exciting things happen this week and Im super pumped to share them all!!

First, the other 2 missionaries that live with us had a baptism this week in the ocean, in a place called los patos.  So beautiful there, and the baptism was very spiritual and just special.  A little girl named pamela got baptised by her dad, who is the first president of the branch.  We took 4 of our investigators with us, 3 of which are getting baptised this week, and the other one has a date!  What a special experience that was for them.  Really something pretty cool.  

Next up is the fact that... Were having three baptisms this week, of 3 really awesome kids that are about 17 to 18 years old each.  These kids are amazing, they are "investigators" but they love to leave on visits with us, give us references, and just help us out.  They are so so so cool, and they all really want to get baptised so bad...  The other baptismal date we have for the fourth kid, who will baptise the week after, is really good friends with them.  And the best thing about it is that they all play basketball for a team, and they're gonna be this awesome LDS team haha theyre so fun, they play some good ball too, and one looks exactly like steph curry so thats freaking awesome.

But this week was really good, we just did a lot of work with references, members, and these kids who will be baptising soon!  To end my message, id Like to share a quick thought:

As ive been here in the DR, I cant help but think how inevitable it is that god exists, and he created EVERYTHING that is around us.  I have seen it in the beauty of the earth...  in the planets, the oceans, the stars, and the people.  Everything he created is around us, and if that isnt proof enough.. I do not know what is!  I love it here and am so excited to keep working with this branch of enriquillo :)  Everyone go and take a look at alma 30:44, and i challenge you to do the same, appreciate god and his creations, and respect them too!  There is too much plastic on these beaches...
