Septima Semana del campo--Weirdest Week of my Life
Well my week started off walking outside and seeing a lady in full running gear training alongside not her pet dog.. but goat. Yeah, she was like training for a marathon with a pet goat. I then went inside to see a mouse on the floor, and I did what any self respecting angry Dominican mother would do, grabbed my shoe and hucked it at it. Drilled it, and boom it was dead haha. That pretty much summs up my week.
But yeah this week was actually really really hard, but really good! We are now in a trio since one of the other missionaries who lived with us broke his ankle and went home. That has been really hard! They speak Portuguese some times and I cant understand it, so it's been hard but Ive learned to laugh it off, or at least Im learning, hahah. We also have started to cook, which is quite the adventure. But our specialties include tacos, omlets, nachos, cereal, pasta, rice, and good old hot chocolate with bread--a Dominican favorite it seems. haha So that has been really fun.
Anyway, 2/3 of our district in the hands of 3 missionaries.. So we have had tons of work and I've really had to step up and out of my comfort zone. Its been super hard, but I always always find comfort from reading the scriptures. I promise that you can too. When things don't seem right, we can always go to the scriptures. They really bring so much peace and comfort into our lives. Really they bring a spirit that nothing else can bring. I love them so much and I hope you guys do the same. Go to the scriptures!!
Have a great week everyone!!
