Segunda Semana del Campo--I Just Want Some Ribs...

whats up y'all!!

Okay so im gonna be frank, it was the hardest week of my life.  I have had to dig and dig and pray and pray every day, just to have the strength to keep going.  Its been hard because i live with 3 spanish speakers and sometimes i feel like i cant go to anyone because of the language barrier, but thats where ive found that i can go to my savior, because hes the only one that truly knows exactly how I feel!!  although im eaten by mosquitos, hot, tired, hungry, and thirsty, he suffered much worse than that for us.  I can do all things through christ, even when I feel tired, depressed, or discouraged.  ALSO CAN I GET A HAPPY BIRHTDAY FOR MY BEAUTIFUL MOTHER ON OCTOBER 4TH 

If anyone knows her, they know she is the sweetest, most sincere, loving lady ever.  I miss you sooo much mom and love you with all I have.  Youre amazing.

So anyways, Ive got some funny stories!! 

This morning for starters, i was drying off after the shower, and looked in the mirror and there was just a centepede chillin on my neck.  No big deal.  Probably 6 inches long.  I freaked the freak out and just hucked that thing and it was dead before I knew it.  But man, i have never felt more fear lol.  Centepedes are not my thing.  

Next we ate dinner at this members house (her name is tati) and she put on my plate about 11 or 12 giant boiled plantains, topped with onions, oil, eggs, and half of avacado.  I have never eaten more than 2 bannanas, and were talking plantains here.  So i just shoved as much of it as i could down the hatchet.  Every time she looked a way, I threw a little piece off of the cliff.  (her house is on a cliff of a mountain haha) and i was able to eat about 10 of them, and throw about 2.  I dont know how I did that, but it was an experience I'll never forget.

I hope everyone at home is doing fantastic.  Go kill it this week, and go search the scriptures!! They have brought me so much comfort, along with the savior.  There are things there for you specifically to help you.  There are times every day when i feel lonely, sad, discouraged, or tired, but when I look up, to christ, I feel better.  And im getting better and better at doing this every day.  Its coming together, and i promise if you guys do this, it will come together for you to.  The lord does not give any commandment unto the children of men, save he should prepare a way for them.  He has one prepared, for me or you!  We have to have the faith to walk the path, no matter how difficult it is.  That isn't easy, and i am trying to do it every day.  But i have seen the blessings of it in my life.  Live that good life everyone!!

dad i see why you dont like dogs, there are like 500 mangey, smelly, ugly dogs here.  Bleh.

Next, 2 stories!

In the CCM, my companions and I prayed one night, that the next day, it would rain.  Not questioning anything.  If it rained, that would be awesome.  And we had 100 percent faith that it would.  But if it didnt, it doesnt mean anything.  It just wouldnt be heavenly fathers will for it to rain.  Never doubting, never unwavering.  The wholeeeee next day it wasnt raining and wasnt raining, and we still didnt doubt, or even ask, or talk about it.  At the end of the day, it sprinkled.  For about 30 seconds.  and we happened to be outside to feel it.  Pretty sweet huh?  Faith is crazy.  Sometimes, we just gotta have the faith to trust heavenly father, in whatever his plan is for us.  I am learning that every day!!

Next up, there is this lady in our branch, named tati.  Shes like the grandma from iceage.  

And finally, We have my camera story!! I got it soaked.  My water bottle spilled all over it in my backpack.  It was broken.  I prayed and asked heavenly father to fix it, but nevertheless, his will be done.  I had faith that it would be fixed, but if it wouldnt, it wasnt his will, and i had faith to accept it.  The next day, my camera miraculously worked!  This isnt to say that its always gonna rain, or your camera is always gonna be better, but if we have faith in heavenly father and whatever his plan is, we can go through our trials with more love, compassion, and happiness.  I need to rememmber that always.  I love you all!!!
