La Salida

Taylor's last day was spent at home packing his bags with family and friends. His bois gave him a Murphy cheer as we left for one last American meal at his choice of restaurant--Five Guys! President Evans blessed him with many wonderful gifts that will help him be a successful and compassionate missionary. We promptly left for the airport where we met up with 18 or 19 other missionaries headed to the DR MTC. Taylor was excited, anxious and happy to get going. If he was nervous, it was hard to tell as his face was beaming with energy and joy. Our family hugged and sobbed as we watched an amazing son of God walk away to do His work. Although an emotional wreck, Theron mustered a loud "T" shout as Taylor disappeared from view. We are elated for the amazing opportunities that lie ahead, but also deeply emotional about Taylor's absence! Vaya con Dios Elder Murphy! Te amamos!
Taylor's first note home came at about 12:30 today....
Hey guys! Wow.  I made it.  What in the actual heck is going on ahaha.  Dad you were right, the humidity hit me like a freight train.  The plane ride was long but I was by elders the entire time.  It was all good, I had a shake shack bacon egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast this morning.  This country is so beautiful, I am going to love it here.  The cutest little girl helped me carry my suit case, she was only 8, but it was a blessing because I was feeling a little overwhelmed, it brightened my day.  Anyways, I'm safe and sound, my p day is a week from thursday, so that is when I'll email you guys next.  It will be longer then haha I just am doing this you you don't think I died lol.  RAWR XD
